Traffic Advisory: KY 1 paving starts Thursday, Aug. 17, in Greenup County FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Aug. 11) – A million-dollar Kentucky Transportation Cabinet resurfacing project starts next week along 7 miles of KY 1 in Greenup County. Beginning approximately Thursday, Aug. 17, motorists should watch for one-lane flagged traffic on KY 1 from Addie Road (near mile marker 5) to the KY 207 intersection at Argillite. Work will take place 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday until about Aug. 31, or until work is complete. (No work will take place over the Labor Day holiday.) The highway improvement project is being done under a $1,038,850 low-bid state contract awarded to Mountain Enterprises Inc.Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, obey flaggers, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
