U.S. 31E (Main Street) *Main Remade* | TRAFFIC ADVISORY: By the end of the day on Thursday, July 30, Main Street between Wenzel Street and Second Street will be converted to its new two-way traffic configuration. As part of this transition, most signalized intersections along the corridor will temporarily operate as all-way stops using stop signs while crews complete the activation of the new traffic signals. The intersection of Main Street and Second Street will remain signalized during this phase. The temporary all-way stop conditions will remain in place until the new traffic signals are fully activated. Additional information will be shared once the signal activation process is complete. Temporary signs will be installed throughout the corridor to alert motorists of the new traffic pattern and stop-controlled intersections. | I-65 South (John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge) | As work on the final phase of the expansion joint replacement project on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge nears completion, contract crews will implement lane and ramp closures beginning Sunday, Aug. 2, to safely restore the bridge to its permanent traffic configuration. The project will preserve and extend the service life of this critical Ohio River crossing. Beginning Sunday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m., through 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, at 6 a.m.: - The Court Avenue and 6th Street on-ramps to I-65 South in Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be closed.

The overnight interstate closures are necessary for contract crews to set beams for the KY 1790 (Hooper Station Road) bridge over I-64 as part of the bridge replacement work. As construction progresses, additional overnight closures are expected on this stretch of I-64. |
