Purpose	The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is conducting a planning study evaluating potential improvements to KY 1065 (Outer Loop) from I-65 to KY 2052 (Shepherdsville Road) in Jefferson County. The Outer Loop Transportation Study will identify short-term and long-term improvements for the roughly three-mile corridor.
Project Scope	The scope includes potential improvements for KY 1065 between I-65 and KY 2052 (Shepherdsville Road).
Type of Project	Planning study. *Only the planning phase is funded in the 2024-2030 Enacted Highway Plan. Additional funding to advance the project further must be secured in future Highway Plans.

Project Timeline	The final study report, which is expected to be completed in the Summer of 2026, will include input from the initial and second public meetings.
