As of October 2025 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE*): - Since the 2003 Public Information Meeting, the project has been delayed (funding appropriation). The project received a lower SHIFT ranking for the district; however, a right-turn lane was constructed for southbound Fegenbush Lane to access Beulah Church Road.
- KYTC has acquired all necessary right-of-way, including the control of access rights when applicable, including legal and physical possession (As of August 2022)
- According to the utility companies' estimates, utility relocations are scheduled to begin in 2025. The utility companies anticipate that completing the full relocation will take at least two years.
- The construction letting date has been set for December 2025.*

Elected Official Meeting / Public Meetings
| An elected official meeting was held in September 2001, where preliminary engineering studies were used to develop project alternatives. The first public meeting was held in May 2002 to discuss numerous issues, including the project's scope, existing conditions, design criteria, construction alternatives, historical and ecological considerations, and other relevant project information. At this initial meeting, nine alternatives (labeled A-I) were proposed (developed from the elected official meeting mentioned above). This meeting employed an "open format" style, allowing the public to become familiar with the various exhibits, preliminary design plans, and other relevant information. Citizens were encouraged to provide feedback on the alternatives via a questionnaire. Questionnaire submissions were accepted until 15 days after the meeting date. A second public meeting was held in November 2003. After receiving public input at the initial public meeting, the number of alternates under consideration was reduced from nine to three: Alternate A, H, and I. Based on public input, Alternative "I" was advanced as the recommended alternative, and construction and right-of-way acquisition plans were developed. |
