New traffic pattern, intermittent lane closures will occur on a portion of U.S. 421 in Harlan County beginning today
MANCHESTER, Ky. (May 29, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists that a new traffic pattern will be put in place on U.S. 421 in Harlan County beginning today.
As part of a flood mitigation project, traffic will be placed on the newly constructed section of U.S. 421 (milepoints 3.2-3.8). Intermittent lane closures will also begin today, and will be expected to conclude on Friday, June 14.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expected delays and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The date and time could be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
