Drilling operations set to begin on a portion of KY 225 in Bell County
MANCHESTER, Ky. (May 20, 2019) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a portion of KY 225 at milepoint 0.9 in Bell County will be closed due to drilling operations.
The drilling operations and road closure will begin Wednesday, May 22 with both expected to conclude Wednesday, June 12. Work times will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. In case of an emergency, the drill rig can be moved for emergency vehicles to pass.
Once the drilling operations are finished each day at 7 p.m., the roadway will be open to one-lane traffic overnight.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
