New KY 211 intersection at US 60 opening Monday, Nov. 12, in Salt Lick
Part of $800,000 improvement project

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2018) – Contractors expect to open the newly-rebuilt KY 211-US 60 intersection at Salt Lick in Bath County next week.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 12, weather and schedules permitting, crews plan to shift traffic on KY 211 onto the newly-built section of highway connecting to US 60 just east of the old intersection in Salt Lick. Motorists should watch for flagged traffic and possible delays during the switchover, and should use caution navigating the new intersection.

The work is part of an $800,000 Kentucky Transportation Cabinet highway safety improvement project that began in August. The project is being done under a $788,645.61 low-bid Transportation Cabinet contract awarded to the Walker Company of Kentucky Inc.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
