Emergency road aid funds announced for Lewis County slide repairs, Fleming County and Morehead bridge repairs


FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2018) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has announced the following road aid emergency funds have been awarded to local governments in Kentucky Department of Highways District 9:

-- $23,816 in County Road Aid emergency funds to Lewis County for a slide repair on Greenbriar Hollow (CR 1032) Road located just south of its KY 10 intersection.

-- $56,000 in County Road Aid emergency funds this summer to Fleming County for a bridge repair on Wyoming Road (CR 1219) about a half mile south of KY 111 over a tributary of the Licking River.

-- $16,062 in Municipal Road Aid emergency funds this summer for a bridge repair on Old Flemingsburg Road (CS 1136) in Morehead in Rowan County. The bridge is located a tenth of a mile west of the KY 32 intersection.

"The Bevin administration is committed to the Cabinet's mission of providing a safe, reliable transportation network for all Kentuckians," said KYTC Secretary Greg Thomas. "These emergency funds will help repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout this community."

The Lewis County Fiscal Court, Fleming County Fiscal Court and City of Morehead are responsible for administering the projects.
