FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Sept. 14, 2018) – Motorists crossing the Ohio River at Maysville this Saturday morning, Sept. 15, should note the following the traffic restrictions:

The northbound (to Ohio) lane of the US 62-Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to allow cyclists on the annual Limestone Cycling Tour ride to cross safely. And, the southbound (to Kentucky) shoulder of the US 68-William Harsha Bridge will be restricted to bicycle traffic.

The Maysville Police Department will be monitoring and controlling traffic at both bridges.

Motorists are also asked to watch for cyclists on KY 8, KY 576 (Tuckahoe Road), KY 3056 (Germantown Road), US 52 in Ohio and other highways throughout the Mason County area during the day Saturday, and to please share the road safely with bicycles.

Under Kentucky law, bicycles are considered vehicles, and cyclists have the same rights and the same responsibilities as motorists. For more information, see http://transportation.ky.gov/BikeWalk. For more about Saturday's ride, see http://limestonecyclingtour.com.
