Traffic Advisory: KY 3316 to close at Carlisle for repairs

Beginning May 29

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (May 22, 2018) – Drainage repairs will require a two-week closure of KY 3316 (South Elm Street-Upper Jackstown Road) at Carlisle beginning next Tuesday, May 29, in Nicholas County.

On Tuesday morning, Kentucky Department of Highways crews will close KY 3316 immediately south of the railroad tracks and approximately 400 feet south of the KY 32 intersection in Carlisle to replace a concrete drainage drop box.

The road will remain closed at the work site with no traffic able to pass that point, day or night, for up to two weeks. Barricades will be placed at Market Street and Rayne Street, with only local traffic permitted between those locations and the work site. Electronic message boards will be used to communicate any changes. Motorists may detour using KY 32 and KY 13.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
