Traffic Advisory: Lane closures on US 60 in downtown Grayson tonight
For utility work

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 15, 2018) – Carter County motorists should expect traffic impacts on US 60 tonight, March 15, for a utility relocation near Carol Malone Boulevard in Grayson.

Beginning at 9 p.m., contractors plan to cut a trench across US 60 just east of the Carol Malone intersection between Rite-Aid and Grayson City Hall. Work will require lane closures, localized detours and flagged traffic. Work is expected to be complete before morning rush hour.

Motorists traveling through the affected area tonight should expect delays and traffic congestion, and should seek alternate routes if possible.

The work is part of the utility relocation phase of the Transportation Cabinet's upcoming multi-million-dollar Carol Malone widening project. Utility work will continue through spring along Carol Malone and parts of US 60 in downtown Grayson.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
