Lime Kiln Lane road work at I-71 in Jefferson County beginning August 28
Louisville, KY (August 20, 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that Lime Kiln Lane will be reduced to one lane at the bridge over Interstate 71 in Jefferson County. Contract crews will begin work next week to perform bridge joint repairs on this structure.
A temporary signal will be installed on Lime Kiln Lane on Tuesday, August 28 to control traffic through this work zone. Repairs on this bridge will take a few weeks to complete.
Lane closures are possible on I-71 under Lime Kiln Lane (mile marker 5.8) from 7 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. the following morning.
This work is part of a $2.5 million project for painting and repairing ten bridges on I-71 in Jefferson and Oldham Counties. The contract was awarded to Seminole Equipment Incorporated of Tarpon Springs, Florida with work scheduled for completion in November 2018.
