Contract awarded for bridge repairs in Oldham County

 

Louisville, KY (August 17, 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) recently awarded a contract for bridge deck restoration and pier patching on three bridges in Oldham County. Repairs will be made over the next three months at the following locations:

 

  • KY 1694 (Sleepy Hollow Road) at the bridge over South Fork of Harrods Creek (mile marker 1.1)
  • KY 393 at the bridge over Harrods Creek (mile marker 8.4)
  • KY 3223 (Old Sligo Road) at the bridge over Harrods Creek (mile marker 2.5)

     

    Once work begins on a bridge, the contractor is required to complete repairs at that location within 30 calendar days. Construction is scheduled to begin the week of August 27 on KY 1694 at the bridge over the South Fork of Harrods Creek.

     

    One lane of traffic will be maintained on each of these routes during construction. A temporary traffic signal will be installed to control the flow of vehicles through the work zones. Motorists should expect some delays in these areas.

     

    Hall Contracting of Kentucky Inc. was awarded this contract in the amount of $594,169. Work on all three bridges is scheduled for completion in November 2018.
