New traffic signal activation on Taylorsville Road in Jefferson County

Louisville, KY (August 16, 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announces activation of a new traffic signal on KY 155 (Taylorsville Road) at the intersection with Tyler Retail Way/Pleasant Glen Drive in eastern Jefferson County.

The signal is scheduled to be turned on flash mode Monday, August 20 in an effort to make motorists aware of the new traffic conditions. The signal will flash yellow for traffic on Taylorsville Road and red for traffic on Tyler Retail Way and Pleasant Glen Drive.

The signal will be tested and timing adjusted for a few days.  Some lane closures at this intersection will also be needed for installation of pavement markings.

Weather permitting, traffic engineers plan to change the signal from flash to normal operations on Thursday, August 23.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Visit goky.ky.gov for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  You can also get traffic information for the District 5 counties at facebook.com/KYTCDistrict5 and twitter.com/KYTCDistrict5 .
