Interstate 71 ramp closures in Henry County on July 1-3
Louisville, KY (June 26, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of ramp closures next week on Interstate 71 in Henry County. Asphalt paving will take place on the I-71 North ramps at KY 153 (Exit 28) in Pendleton.
The exit and entrance ramps at I-71 North and KY 153 (Exit 28) will be closed from 7 p.m. on Monday, July 1until 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2. The exit ramp from I-71 North will close again on Tuesday, July 2 from 7 p.m. until midnight. The entrance ramp from KY 153 to I-71 North will close again as well from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Motorists on I-71 North should detour to US 421 in Campbellsburg (Exit 34), turn left onto US 421, then access I-71 South and proceed to KY 153.
Motorists on KY 153 should detour via I-71 South to KY 53 in LaGrange (Exit 22), turn left onto KY 53 and then access I-71 North.
This work is part of a $4.2 million project that includes drainage improvements, pavement base failure repairs, crack sealing, asphalt resurfacing and guardrail replacement. Louisville Paving Company, Inc. is the prime contractor. Construction is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
