Temporary closures on KY 1472 in Shelby County June 17-21

Louisville, KY (June 12, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of temporary closures next week on KY 1472 (Hickory Ridge Road) in Shelby County. KYTC maintenance crews will be cleaning ditches and replacing ten cross-drains along this route between KY 395 (Waddy Road) and US 60 (mile marker 0.0 to 6.4). This work is being done in preparation for roadway resurfacing later this summer.

Work is scheduled for the week of June 17-21. Replacement of the cross-drains will occur in the evenings and will require the temporary closure of KY 1472. These closures will occur at various locations in the 6-mile section of highway from 6:30 p.m. until midnight. Motorists can detour via KY 2867 (Kings Highway).

Crews will work on the ditch cleaning during the day with shoulder closures possible.
