Temporary closure scheduled for I-75 on ramp at exit 62 in Rockcastle County
SOMERSET, Ky. (April 5, 2019) – The northbound Interstate 75 on-ramp at exit 62 (Renfro Valley) in Rockcastle County will be temporarily closed during the week starting Monday, April 8. The closure will allow for crews to perform pavement operations, lighting work and install guardrail as part of the I-75 widening project.
The ramp will close this coming Monday evening at 7 p.m. and reopen Friday morning, April 12, at 6 a.m. For five weeks beginning April 14 the ramp will close each Sunday at 7 p.m. and reopen on Friday mornings at 6 a.m.
Motorists will detour via U.S. 25 to KY 461 and reconnect with U.S. 25 to access the on-ramp and Exit 59. Signs will be posted along detour route.
The starting date and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions athttp://goky.ky.gov or contribute their own reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
