Work Zone Safety event scheduled for Fayette County
Slow down, our moms and dads work here!
National Work Zone Safety week is April 15-19
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 18, 2013) – Work zones are not exclusive to long term construction projects. Work zones occur on our highways daily including; roadway maintenance, utility repairs and sign installations.
Please help us encourage the public to slow down and stay alert when they see orange signs, cones and barrels at all times.
Scheduled Work Zone Safety event for District 7 in Fayette County:
Who:  Mr. Ronnie Johnson – KYTC Regional Safety Administrator
What:  Work Zone Safety Presentation
Where:  Rally’s Restaurant (parking lot)
               411 Georgetown Street, Lexington
               (adjacent to the Newtown Pike Widening Project)
               Rain location:  the lobby of the restaurant
When:  Friday, April 19 at 9:00 a.m.
Why:  KYTC wants zero fatalities and decreased accidents in work zones.
Reporters are welcome to interview any/all highway personnel who are present.
