Weekend construction on US 60 in Franklin County
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 15, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) recently awarded a contract for expansion joint repairs at the bridge on US 60 over KY 676/US 421 in Frankfort.  Work is scheduled for the weekends of April 19-21 and April 26-28.  Lane closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
During the first weekend of work, the ramps from eastbound KY 676 to westbound US 60 and from eastbound US 60 to southbound US 421 will be closed.
The right lane of eastbound KY 676 will be closed underneath US 60 this weekend as a safety precaution during the concrete removal phase of construction.  This lane will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19 until approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
Hall Contracting was awarded a contract in the amount of $167,000.  Work is scheduled for completion by May 30, 2013.
