Fill dirt available for land owners in Powell County
JACKSON, KY – Are you a land owner in Powell County who needs fill dirt for your property? If so, the Kentucky Department of Highways will have plenty of dirt available this summer.
State maintenance forces are planning a rigorous ditching program on state highways in Powell County this summer. They expect to have plenty of excess material removed from ditches, and are in need of places to dispose of the dirt. Locations are being sought along all state-maintained routes in Powell County.
There is no charge for this fill dirt, but property owners will need to stop by the Powell County maintenance garage on Pendleton Avenue in Stanton to sign a consent and release form before dirt can be dumped on their land.
For more information, contact the state highway garage at 663-4460.
