JACKSON, KY – In order to replace a damaged drainage structure, the Kentucky Department of Highways plans to close US 460 in Menifee County on Saturday, June 28. The road will be closed at milepoint 8.2. This is within the city limits of Frenchburg, between Menifee County High School and the downtown area. The project will begin around 8 a.m. and will continue until approximately 4 p.m. During this time, the road will be closed to all through traffic.
No marked detour will be posted, but drivers can use KY 713, KY 965 and KY 36 through Bath County; or I-64 and KY 36 through Montgomery and Bath counties as detour routes. Motorists should plan their trips accordingly.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable day.
