Question: Since the project involves Indiana, should the project team include an INDOT pre-qualified consultant? I believe this may be appropriate.

Answer: This project will be administered utilizing KYTC’s processes and procedures. It is KYTC’s desire that every effort should be made by the Design Team selected for this project to coordinate all work in such a manner that INDOT is fully informed and offered the opportunity to participate in the preliminary engineering and environmental process. It shall be up to the Design Team to present a methodology to accomplish this goal. The use of an INDOT pre-qualified consultant may help in this regard. However, KYTC does not see the need to make this a mandatory requirement.

Question: I just wanted to clarify the length of approach and number of resumes and similar projects for this pursuit. They way the RFP was written, it appears this project is the standard length requirements. Please confirm.

Question: For this project, does a firm have to be pre-qualified by KYC to participate in this project or will pre-qualification by INDOT suffice?

Answer: Pre-qualification by INDOT will not meet the requirement for KYTC Prequalification. A team must meet the KYTC pre-qualification requirements as stated in the advertisement?

QUESTION: I see the category of Socioeconomic as the label for the environmental categories, but it was specifically mentioned as one that is required in the list of bulleted categories.  Is prequalification in Socioeconomic Analysis required for this bulletin?

ANSWER: The Socioeconomic Analysis as listed is a typographical error.  It should be shown as a prequalification requirement on the right hand side of the table.  Since this was discovered so close to the due date, we will not return any response that does not have this on their team.
