QUESTION (A): The existing I-64/ KY 627 interchange has a high accident rate. Does this project include any reconfiguration of the interchange?

ANSWER (A): No, the reconfiguration of the I-64/ KY 627 interchange is not included in this project. There are no plans at this time to reconfigure the interchange. If a decision is made to study the I-64/ KY 627 interchange in the future, an advertisement for services will be prepared at that time.

QUESTION (B): Will this project include the reconfiguration of the Mountain Parkway Interchange or the addition of new ramps? This is also a high accident location.

ANSWER (B): No, the reconfiguration of the Mountain Parkway interchange or the addition of new ramps is not included in this project. There are no plans at this time to reconfigure the interchange. QUESTION: The interactive GIS map and the Six Year Plan indicate that the roadway reconstruction associated with this item number is to occur on KY 296. Would you clarify whether the roadway section under consideration is KY 296 or KY 2386?

ANSWER: The project is shown incorrectly on the interactive GIS map and the Six Year Plan. The project is on KY 2386. We are posting a new static map showing the correct beginning and ending points for the project.

QUESTION: The Procurement Bulletin lists an approximate fee of <$750,000. The Six year plan lists a total Design estimate of $175,000. Which best describes the proposed project?

ANSWER: The revised estimate for full Phase 1 preliminary and Phase 2 Final Design is $750,000.00. The Department has decided to revise the scope of work to only include Phase 1 Preliminary Engineering. The approximate fee for Phase 1 is $250,000.00. Once a prefer alignment is selected the Department will re-advertise for Phase 2 Final Design services.
