QUESTION: This project is listed with environmental services provided by the Department or under statewide contract but list some environmental services as prequalification requirements. Is this accurate?

RESPONSE: Providing an environmental footprint of the project area does require full prequalification. This is similar to an Environmental Overview. The prequalification requirements for the environmental services shown in the advertisement are correct.

ATTENTION: Congestion Management has been removed as a prequalification requirement for this project.

District 9 Bridge Replacements

QUESTION: Regarding District 9 Bridge Replacements Prequalification Requirements lists only Rural Roadway Design <$250,000. Should this also include prequalification in structural design?

ANSWER: The Department will be responsible for the Structure Design. The selected consultant shall do the necessary engineering services to submit to Advance Situation Folders for the structures. Prequalification in structural design is not required.

District 9 Bridge Replacements

QUESTION: Regarding the District 9 bridge replacements: Will the project approach still be limited to three pages or will the limit be increased to five as has been the case in the past with groups of bridge replacement projects such as this?

ANSWER: The Department will allow 5 pages (A-E) for Page 7 Project Approach in the response to announcement for the District 9 Bridge replacements.

QUESTION: If the widening of US 150 is to go through the Bluegrass Parkway Interchange, is the bridge to be widened?

ANSWER: Yes, the US150 Bridge will be widened or reconstructed entirely. The Department will be responsible for preparing structure plans.
