QUESTION: Please clarify the length of the Project and its ending points?  The map shows that the project area begins at where KY 313 currently ends near KY 1500 and the length of the oval study area is approximately 4 miles, but the RFP says the project is 2 miles.  The November 2006 (2007-05) bulletin had a project that extended KY 313 and I am wondering if this project is off of that proposed route instead of the existing?  If it is off of the proposed route is copies of those plans available?

ANSWER: The project will look at utilizing the existing KY 1500 alignment as well as looking at new alignments starting at KY 313 between 4-297.20 (KY 1500) and KY 1815.  Any new alignment alternatives will tie into KY 1646 near the Fort Knox boundary and will consider re-aligning KY 1646 at Bullion Boulevard .  Any plans developed by the department or others will be made available to the selected consultant.
