CLARIFICATION: With the change the prequalification requirements to remove the Small Urban Area Studies and add Travel Demand and Simulation Modeling a gap has been created where some firms are prequalified in one category or the other. If a firm was previous prequalified for Small Urban Area Studies and has not yet updated their application and been approved for Travel Demand and Simulation Modeling, they may still respond to this advertisement.

QUESTION: The new statewide (see page 2 below scope of work) has a provision for Geotechnical Services – as required for field data collection. But Geotechnical Services is not listed in the prequel requirements. Does this mean we need a prequalified Geotech firm as a sub or does it mean we have to show geoarchaeological capabilities or is it an editing error.

ANSWER: No geotechnical services are required for these services. This reference will be removed from the advertisement.

2008-09 STATEWIDE/ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

QUESTION: Given that the statewide environmental services project encompasses a high number of prequalification requirements, and specific project assignments are not yet determined, multiple firm teams are difficult to fully describe under the current response guidelines. We would like to ask that you consider expanding the response page limits, particularly in Sections 4, 5 and 6 so that all team members can be more completely described and teams evaluated. Could the page limits be increased along the following guidelines?

· Page 4 (A-E) Resumes, five pages, Project Manager and up to 9 additional, currently:

- allow additional resume pages such that at least one key individual from each team firm can be described;

· Page 5 (A-B) Workload / commitments, two pages currently:

- allow up to two additional workload / commitment pages so that all subconsultant firm data can be included;

· Page 6 (A-E) Project Experience, two pages, up to five projects, currently:

- allow additional pages so that at least one project experience page for each team member firm can be included (beyond the five projects currently allowed).

ANSWER: Yes, KYTC will allow the following modifications to the standard response format for response to Statewide Environmental Studies advertisement only.

Page 4 (A-E) Resumes, may be expanded, not to exceed 10 pages total (A-J).

Page 5 (A-B) Workload / commitments, may be expanded, not to exceed 4 pages total (A-D).

Page 6 (A-E) Project Experience, may be expanded, not to exceed 10 pages total (A-J).
