QUESTION: Can an additional page be allowed to address the environmental? I understand one page has been added for the Public Involvement process. But with the project being 9.7 miles long, at least one more page will be needed for the approach. Shouldn't there be a couple extra resume and project pages allowed to cover the numerous issues? ANSWER:
After considering the nature of the scope of work (Phase I Roadway Design
and Environmental) the Department believes the number of pages allowed
as stated in the advertisement and instructions is adequate. 4 pages
for the Project Approach; 5 pages to cover up to 10 resumes; and 5 pages
to cover Similar Projects. 2008-04 - Jackson County - US 421 – Item No. 11-113.30 QUESTION: Just wondering if “Traffic Engineering” will be a prequalification requirement for this project as stated in the bulletin… Elsewhere in the bulletin the indication is that the KTC will provide any required traffic engineering. ANSWER:
The cabinet will provide traffic counts and traffic projects; the consultant
may be responsible for traffic analysis. After further consideration,
Prequalification in Traffic Engineering is not required for this project.
