The TOC is organized to provide the Secretary
of the KYTC with the necessary staff, facilities, and
equipment to provide an appropriate response to traffic
and weather conditions in accordance with established
procedures. The TOC staff will assume administrative
control and responsibility to receive, evaluate, coordinate,
prepare and dispatch responses for events related to
Kentucky travel or weather advisory activities.
Part of the responsibilities of the TOC is to
update and maintain the Condition Acquisition And Reporting
System (CARS) to give the public the most current and
accurate information available thru the 511 system.
