Work began Thursday, Oct, 10, on an emergency repair project on KY 699 in Perry County. The work involves deck restoration on the bridge crossing Leatherwood Creek at milepoint 7.5. Traffic on this bridge has been reduced to one lane and controlled by temporary traffic signals since a hole developed in the bridge deck in August. Motorists should notice no significant additional traffic impacts while the work is ongoing, but the road will be restricted to loads 10 feet wide or less. Vehicles wider than 10 feet will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 15.
