A traffic pattern change will go into effect Monday, May 20, on KY 172 in Morgan County, where a new alignment of the highway is being constructed. The switch will start in the morning, and by the end of the day traffic will be using the temporary alignment.  There are two different locations within the construction zone where the traffic pattern will change, at milepoint 11.5 and one at milepoint 12.8.

Motorists should use caution in this area as drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern.

Overall, work is underway on an improvement project in Morgan County between mile markers 10 and 13. Motorists can expect delays in this area while the work is ongoing. This project should be finished in the fall of 2013.
