General Info on Inroads and FAQ

InRoads Preference Files:

The KYTC Inroads preference files have been developed to support plan set production for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. These customized preference files define general preference and WYSIWYG symbology that comply with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's graphic standards. These preference files should be used in conjunction with the other KYTC CADD Standard resource files: both .prf files utilize custom line styles, cells and fonts from the KYTC CADD Standard resource files.

InRoads Preference and Style Files:

These files work ONLY with InRoads SelectCAD 8.01 Service Pack 2 and higher. Civil.ini is the preference file and wysiwyg.ini is the style file. The "Named Symbology" (stored in the Civil.ini) and the wysiwyg.ini are set for 50 scale plan and profiles, and 10 scale cross sections.

Survey SelectCad 8.0 Service pack 2 Features Files:

The KYTC Survey SelectCad 8.0 Service pack 2 (or later) files have been setup to support the department's data collector codes and cells that are utilized on the plan Sheets. Both of these work in conjunction to create the type of lines or line styles that have been setup in the Cabinet's graphic standards. The file that supports the data collector codes is called the feature table file and has the extension .fwf. The survey.fxp file contains KYTC preferences for use with SurveySelectCad 8.0 Service Pack 2 or greater.

The KYTC Survey SelectCad 8.02 Service pack 4 (or later) files have been setup to support the department's data collector codes and cells that are utilized on the plan Sheets. Both of these work in conjunction to create the type of lines or line styles that have been setup in the Cabinet's graphic standards. The file that supports the data collector codes is called the feature table file and has the extension .fwf. The survey.fxp file contains KYTC preferences for use with SurveySelectCad 8.0 Service Pack 2 or greater.

Survey SelectCad uses the same Preference and Style Files that Inroads uses and that they can be found there or put them under the Survey SelectCad information as well.
