SUBJECT:   Pipe Cover Height Charts

The Standard Drawing Cover Height Charts for culvert, entrance and storm sewer pipes have been revised to permit more options in higher cover heights.

Circular Reinforced Concrete Pipe cover heights have been revised to permit the installation of concrete pipe with cover heights up to 120 feet.  Circular Reinforced Concrete Pipe with cover heights of 45 feet or less will be designed in accordance with ASTM C 76 and AASHTO M 170.  Circular Reinforced Concrete Pipe with covert heights greater than 45 feet will be designed as D-load pipe in accordance with ASTM C 655 and AASHTO M 242.
