2/14/08	Per Construction Memo 06-07 and Design Memo 02-07, the Standard Specifications and Standard Drawings have been revised.
	The 2008 Edition of the Standard Specifications are applicable to any Roadway or Bridge Construction contract let after January 1, 2008.
	Standard Drawings Revision No. 1 to Reprint No. 9 has the following bridge revisions: added 2 Bridge standards: BGX-017 Approach Slab BHS-008 Rail System Type 3 revised 5 Bridge standards: BDP-001 Box Beam General Notes & References - changed 7/8" bevel to 3/4" and added fabrication note BDP-003 Box Beam Miscellaneous Details - corrected dimension BDP-006 Box Beam B12 & CB12 Details - corrected C1 Bar detail BDP-013 Slab Bridge for 12" & 17" Beams - corrected location of arrowhead BJE-001 Neoprene Expansion Dams And Armored Edges - changed 15° C to 60° F and removed IEB detail voided 4 Bridge standards: BGX-010 Barrier Transition BGX-011 Barrier Transition End Drainage BGX-013 Curved Barrier Transition BGX-014 Curved Barrier Transition End Drainage
11/16/07	Updated Close Out Forms with new Unit Prices and several other minor changes.
9/26/07	Updated Close Out Forms to remove voided Standard Drawings.
8/2/07	Updated Close Out Forms to accomodate different lump sum costs for individual culverts.

1/5/07	Southeastern Transportation Geotechnical Engineering Conference The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will host the 39th meeting of STGEC, to be held October 8-12, 2007, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
12/14/06	Issued Transmittal Memo TM 06-02: Bid Item Codes on Title Sheets and Close Out Forms, Bridge & Culvert Summary no longer required with final plan submittals.
	Revised Title Sheet on the Downloads page to add Bid Item Codes.

	We have a new branch - Geotechnical - formerly of the Division of Materials.
	The Guidance Manual has been redesigned.
	New procedure for Shop Plan Distribution.
	Future transmittals and design guidance will be posted on the DOSD website. Designers are expected to check the web site for current guidance.
