The best way to survive a crash is to prevent them from happening. 672 people lost their lives on Kentucky roads last year, most of which could have been prevented. The biggest factor in injury related car accidents is the driver. Before you get behind the wheel, make sure you are ready to drive.

Have you had any substance that would impair your ability to drive?

     Are you alert and rested?

     Are you distraction free?

Have you made sure that you and everyone else in the car is properly secured?

Each driver is responsible for the safety of themselves and everyone they share the road with. Things like maintaining proper distance between vehicles and using proper judgment can drastically reduce the number of fatal incidents each year. Keep calm and non-aggressive while driving and keep accidents from happening in the first place.
