Active Listening Making a conscious effort to hear, analyze, assign meaning to and respond to what another person is saying.	Brainstorming Generating ideas and gathering information through a free-flowing, energetic, creative exchange.
Breakout Groups A large group divided into smaller ones to discuss a question or do an activity and then report back to the whole group.	Dialogue A flow of thinking and conversing among individuals in a group.
Flip Charts A means of recording people’s comments, opinions and ideas for purposes of group discussion.	Ice Breakers Guided, short activities that help a group of people become acquainted with each other.
Audience Response System A means of polling audiences for purposes of group discussion, decision making, and prioritizing.
