Road rehab project will close one lane of I-75 beginning Monday
$3.9 million project will smooth two-lane stretch of interstate
FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 1, 2013) – One traffic lane of Interstate 75 in Fayette County will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, March 4, to accommodate pavement repair work.
The $3.9 million asphalt rehabilitation project will involve resurfacing I-75 from just south of Man o’ War Boulevard (mile point 105) to the Athens-Boonesboro exit (mile point 107).
The beginning of the project will require closing the right southbound lane from 8 a.m. EST Monday until Friday afternoon.
Drivers can expect various lane closures throughout the project period as crews work to rehab both north- and southbound lanes. Announcement of lane closures will be made as work continues. The contract deadline for the entire project is July 31, 2013.
