How to sign up for RSS feeds
Button image RSS (Real Simple Syndication) makes it easy for you to receive up-to-date news without having to visit our website or sign up to an email distribution list. An RSS feed automatically updates itself based on any latest developments added to the page, and the feed is viewable in virtually all current versions of various web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.), within Microsoft Outlook and other email providers, or using other RSS readers.
 
How to sign up (subscribe) to a RSS feed in your browser
There are different ways to subscribe to an RSS feed. It all depends on your browsing preference and the software you have installed on your computer. Below are common instructions on how to subscribe to RSS feeds using popular browsers. If you subsribe through a browser you may also end up subscribing to the feed through software like Microsoft Outlook. If so, read the lower section entitled How to sign up (subscribe) to a RSS feed in popular software (below).
 
Google Chrome
  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link and locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  2. Follow the directions to launch your RSS feed-handling application (such as Microsoft Outlook).

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 & 10

  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link and locate the line "Subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  2. On the Subscribe to this Feed menu popup, choose to add the feed to Feeds and whether you want to add it to your Favorites bar.
  3. To view the Feed, click  View my feeds or press Ctrl + Shift + G.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 & 8 

  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link and locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  2. On the Subscribe to this Feed menu popup, choose to add the feed to Feeds and whether you want to add it to your Favorites bar.
  3. To view the Feed, click View my feeds or press Ctrl + Shift + J.

Note: If no feed is found, click the RSS feed link, locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.

The RSS Feed subscription is added to the Common Feed List in Windows. Your RSS Feed subscription is available in Internet Explorer, Outlook, and other programs which use the Common Feed List. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link.
  2. Locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  3. Click "Subscribe to this Feed" at the top.
  4. Follow directions to add the feed to a third-party software.
Mozilla Firefox
  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link.
  2. If no feed is found, click the RSS feed link, locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  3. In the Subscribe to this Feed Using menu, choose one of the feed options.
  4. Click Subscribe Now.

Apple Safari 

  1. In the browser, either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link and locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  2. Click the RSS icon in the Address Bar and the browser window will change to display as a series of single-line RSS feeds.
  3. Click the + button at the top of the page as if you were going to create a bookmark for this page.

How to sign up (subscribe) to a RSS feed in popular software

Note: There is no built-in RSS Feed functionality with versions of Outlook prior to Outlook 2007. To access the RSS feed within Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003, you must install a third-party software.
 
Microsoft Outlook 2007 & 2010 Instructions
  1. Locate the RSS Feeds folder in your Navigation Pane.
  2. Right-mouse click on the RSS Feeds folder, and select Add a New RSS Feed from the menu.
  3. Enter the feed url and click Add.
Apple Mail
  1. Open Safari.
  2. either enter the url of the feed into the web address bar and press Enter, or if you find a RSS link on a page, click the link and locate the line "subscribe to this RSS feed" at the top of the page and click the link.
  3. Click the RSS icon in the Address Bar and the browser window will change to display as a series of single-line RSS feeds.
  4. Click the + button at the top of the page as if you were going to create a bookmark for this page.
  5. In the sheet that drops down, click the checkbox next to Mail; then click the Add button.
  6. In the Mailboxes sidebar, Mail automatically creates a new folder to hold all your RSS feeds and puts Apple Hot News to the new folder.

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Right-click on the account name in the folders pane and select "Manage Subscriptions".
  2. Click on the account name in the folders pane, and then click on the "Manage Subscriptions" link in the main Thunderbird window.
  3. Go to "Tools -> Account Settings", click on the account name in the left-hand pane, and then click the "Manage Subscriptions" button.

Once you've brought up the RSS Subscriptions dialog, all you need to do to subscribe to an RSS feed is click the Add button, enter the URL for the feed into the box, and click OK. After the feed is verified, it will then appear in the RSS Subscriptions dialog and in the folders pane under the account.

In the same way, you can add more feeds under a single RSS account. If you subscribe to numerous feeds, you may wish to create more than one RSS News & Blogs account, each with multiple subscribed feeds.
 
Lotus Notes 8 Instructions
  1. Proceed to the right hand side of the Lotus Notes client called the Sidebar.
  2. Display the Feeds section.
  3. Click on icon which says Subscribe to Feed when you hover over it.
  4. The Add New Subscription dialog box will appear.
  5. Type in the RSS URL.  
  6. Click on Go button.
  7. Click on OK button.
  8. The feed will show up on the right hand side under the Title section.
