Mobile Maps
This document will walk you through how to add our KYTC Maps to your mobile device. The walk-through was written for iOS but the steps for Android and Windows Phone 7 are similar.

Interactive Maps
Allows users to zoom in or zoom out (respectively meaning to increase or decrease the scale), turn on and off data layers (including both road data and aerial photography), view tabular data, share a link to the map, as well as print.

Active Highway Plan Displays current Highway Plan.	Bike Routes Official Kentucky bike routes.
Local Roads (Previously County Rural Aid) Displays locally owned road information for road aid maintenance funding.	Environmental Overview Used to ensure environmental compliance in road maintenance & construction.
Emergency Funding Routes (FEMA\FHWA\ER) Not for billboard regulation or non FEMA\FHWA\ER funding purposes.	General Highway Map of Kentucky Kentucky's road network.
Project Plan Archive (1909-Present) Archive of scanned KYTC project plans from 1909 to the present.	Roadway Photo Viewer Zoomable, searchable, drivable photo log of the Kentucky road system.
Right-of-Way Monument Map Displays the location of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Right-of-Way monuments.	Rural & Secondary Roads Displays where rural & secondary road aid money has been applied.
KYTC Traffic Counts Display traffic count locations, most recent AADTs and functionally classified roads.	Protected Areas for Outdoor Advertising Displays control routes for permitting outdoor advertising devices in compliance with the Highway Beautification Act.
Quality Assurance Lessons Learned Displays KYTC projects that have received a Post Construction Review or Value Engineering Change Proposal.	KYCORS Service Displays current KYCORS stations, CORS Baselines, and Single Base Accuracy. For Geodetic Control, go here.

Downloadable, PDF versions of various road data. Check the different maps for their update frequency.

Official Highway Map The latest Highway Map, in both plain and offical versions.	General County Maps (SPRS) Maps of state maintained road system in Districts, County, and City extents.
Coal Haul The public highways on which coal was reported transported by truck.	Active Highway Plan Maps (SYP) Maps of approved projects from 2010 Kentucky Highway Plan (SYP).
Functional Classification Maps Federally required classification of roadways by function in District, County and City extents.	Snow & Ice Priority Maps Snow priority routes by county.
Historic Maps County & Official Highway Maps dating back to 1937.	National Highway System (NHS) Statewide urban areas also listing of network by route number.
National Truck Network (NTN) Maps include statewide, urban areas, & listing of networks by route number. Also, classification reports, updated weekly.	Statewide Boundaries County, ADD, MPO, and Highway District boundaries with and without county numbers.
Public Riverports Public riverport locations and their contact information.	Truck Weight Classification Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 189.222 requires weight limits on the state-maintained highway system.
Ferries Locations, photos, river crossing, counties, roads connected, fees, schedules, & contact numbers.	FHWA Urbanized Areas Urbanized areas adjusted for transportation purposes and approved by the FHWA after every decennial census.
Traffic Counts & Count Stations Displays traffic count location, most recent AADTs and functionally classified roads in county and city extents.	Appalachian Development Highway System Interstate system connectivity in Appalachia.

The Transportation Cabinet appreciates your interest in reproducing Cabinet maps. The Cabinet will agree to your usage only if the following conditions are met:

There should be a credit statement “Approval by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet of the reproduction of a portion of the Kentucky Official Highway map should in no way be construed as promotion of any product advertised herein.”
The map or related information must not explicitly or implicitly indicate that the Cabinet is in any way endorsing any product or service.
The map must be reproduced without substantial alteration except to indicate the location of the business.
The Cabinet must be provided a copy for review and concurrence prior to publication.

Upon receipt of the draft meeting the conditions stated above, the Cabinet will process your request as expeditiously as possible.
