This site will provide you with on-going information regarding the KAVIS project.  In order for the KAVIS project to be successful, we need to have several different methods of getting information to and from the parties involved. This site is one of those methods.

On this site, we can post information for you, our stakeholder, to read and review, make comments, modify and ultimately make the process of sharing knowledge and information a much quicker and easier task. Our site will has several different features, including document sharing, a calendar of events, glossary of terms, and frequently asked questions. As we progress, we have the ability to add other features as we see the need.

The KAVIS Vision
To provide the Commonwealth with a statewide automated system for vehicle and boat titling, registration, taxation, and related functions. This comprehensive solution will replace the legacy Automated Vehicle Information System (AVIS), and the Boat Titling and Registration System (BTR).
 
The replacement of these legacy systems is necessary to improve delivery of current and future licensing services. The new system shall be based on proven technology that is scalable and flexible enough to provide the current capabilities, features, and functions as well as future enhancements to the County Clerks, other state agencies, and quasi governmental entities. The solution shall be achieved using web-based architecture and shall include a self-service customer interface and future expandability.
