  • Contract and procurement fraud
  • False claims
  • Bribery or solicitation of bribes
  • Solicitation or acceptance of  gratuities
  • Kickbacks
  • Ethical violations
  • Health, safety, or environmental violations
  • Theft or misuse of government property
  • Retaliation for whistleblower complaints 


TIPS FOR FILING ALLEGATIONS OF WRONGDOING:
Although you may wish to remain anonymous, the OIG encourages you to provide sufficient contact information.  Please provide relevant and specific details of your complaint, including the identity of the person, company or organization alleged to have engaged in wrongdoing; a description of the alleged impropriety; the DOT facility and program affected by the alleged misconduct; contact numbers; date(s) of alleged wrongdoing; how you are aware of the alleged impropriety; the identity of potential witnesses and the identity and location of supporting documentation.

Kentucky statutes provide protection to employees who, in good faith, report suspected wrongdoing related to an actual or suspected violation of the law, statute, executive order, administrative regulation, mandate, rule, or ordinance, or any facts or information relative to actual or suspected mismanagement, waste, fraud, abuse of authority, or a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety. (KRS 61.102)
