Emergency road aid funds awarded to Lewis County
For slip repairs to McDowell’s Creek Road, Lewis Lane
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 10, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that Lewis County will receive $30,900 in County Road Aid emergency funds.
The money will be used for slip repairs on McDowell’s Creek Road (CR 1007) and Lewis Lane (1006), making those roadways safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon them.
“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Lewis County,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock. “This project is one example of the cabinet’s commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Lewis County and all across the commonwealth.”
The Lewis County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.
