Repairs require week-long closure of KY 784 in Greenup County
Closed March 17-21 near Letitia
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 14, 2014) – Kentucky Department of Highways crews in Greenup County will temporarily close a portion of KY 784 near Letitia next week to repair a roadside slip.
Beginning Monday, March 17, crews will rework a section of roadside where T-rail has been placed next to the creek to improve its stability, requiring KY 784 to be closed to all through traffic about three fourths of a mile north of KY 10 (AA Highway) between Howland Hill Road and Dry Fork until Friday, March 21.
Motorists may reroute through South Shore using KY 10, US 23 and KY 8, or detour via local routes.
The schedule for this road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Any delays will be announced on area message boards, as well as through District 9’s online media at Transportation.Ky.Gov/District-9. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
