Emergency road aid funds awarded to Lewis County
For slide and bridge repairs
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that Lewis County will receive nearly $19,000 in County Road Aid emergency funds.
Funding of $12,100 will be used for slide repairs on Straight Fork Road (CR 1127) and funding of $6,800 will be used for bridge repairs on McDowell’s Creek Road (CR 1007), making them safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon the roadways.
“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Lewis County,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock.  “This project is one example of the cabinet’s commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Lewis County and all across the commonwealth.”
The Lewis County Fiscal County is responsible for administering the work.
