More than 80 attend second public meeting for KY 7 improvements in Elliott and Morgan Counties
 
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (April 22, 2015) – A second public meeting for a KY 7 highway improvement project in Elliott and Morgan counties drew more than 80 participants last week.
 
At the meeting, engineers and project team leaders discussed the project – the proposed reconstruction 10 miles of KY 7 from the southern city limits of Sandy Hook to the KY 711 intersection at Wrigley in Morgan County – and took public comments. Comments are accepted at public meetings, and 15 days afterward:

Road work at Keyes Creek bridge and Boy Scout Road this month
Part of two projects totaling more than $450,000
 
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 7, 2013) – Contractors will begin work this month on more than $450,000 in state highway improvements in Boyd County.
 
On Boy Scout Road (KY 1012), contractors expect to install guardrail between Friday, March 8, and Tuesday, March 12, from just south of Garver Road north to Greenfield Road. Lane closures are possible, with traffic controlled by flaggers.
 
On Valley View Road (KY 168), contractors will clear the roadside near the Keyes Creek bridge next week, the week of March 11, as part of a project to replace the bridge this summer. Lane closures are expected.
 
Road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, “Drive Smart” in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
