Rescheduled traffic diversion for US 60/Versailles Road
The US 60/Versailles Road Rehabilitation Project in Fayette and Woodford Counties
From the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway to KY 4 (New Circle Road)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 7, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that the traffic diversion originally planned on Sunday for US 60/Versailles Road was rescheduled due to rain. The diversion will take place this evening (weather permitting). The traffic switch is necessary for Phase IV of the project to begin.
- Tuesday, May 7 at 6:00 p.m. - all eastbound traffic on US 60/Versailles Road will be shifted to the south side of the roadway. The diversion will allow work to be completed for the median.
Truck Traffic – trucks are required to travel in the left lane through the construction limits.
A reduced speed limit with double fines is in place for violations that occur within the work zone.
Alternate routes – motorists can utilize Interstate 64 and US 421 (Leestown Road)
Two lanes of US 60/Versailles Road in each direction are currently open and will remain open.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
