Lane closures scheduled for KY 9000 (the Mountain Parkway) in Clark County
KY 974 (Kiddville Road)/KY 9000 (Mountain Parkway) Interchange Project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 7, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that lane closures are scheduled for a portion of KY 9000 (the Mountain Parkway) in Clark County. The closures are necessary for a new bridge to be constructed over the parkway.
Work will be performed:
- Wednesday, May 8 – one lane in each direction will close at approximately 10:00 a.m.
The location for the closures on KY 9000 (the Mountain Parkway) will be at mile point 10.58. The parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the designated mile point. The closure will be in effect for approximately four (4) months.
One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
Appropriate signage will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the area.
