Lane closures scheduled for Man O War Boulevard
The US 60/Versailles Road Rehabilitation Project in Fayette and Woodford Counties
From the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway to KY 4 (New Circle Road)
 
 
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 25, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that lane closures for Man O War Boulevard are scheduled to take place tomorrow evening.  The lane closures are necessary for Phase III of the project to continue.
 
  • Friday, April 26 at 8:00 p.m. the left lanes will close on Man O War Boulevard in each direction from the Airport entrance (Terminal Drive) to US 60/Versailles Road.  The lanes will remain closed until further notice.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
 
Truck Traffic – trucks are required to travel in the left lane through the construction limits.
 
A reduced speed limit with double fines is in place for violations that occur within the work zone.
 
Alternate routes – motorists can utilize Interstate 64 and US 421 (Leestown Road)
 
Two lanes of US 60/Versailles Road in each direction are currently open and will remain open.
 
 
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
 
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
