LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 22, 2013) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet,
Department of Highways, announces that construction work is underway for the
Kiddville Road/Mountain Parkway Interchange in Southeastern Clark County.
The project includes a new bridge over the parkway and four access ramps. In addition, KY 974 (Kiddville Road) between the Mountain Parkway and KY 15 will be reconstructed.
The project was let on Dec. 14, 2012 and was awarded to the Allen Company, Inc. for $8,340,812.77.
Significant impacts to traffic will not be effective immediately. Appropriate signage will be in place to alert motorists of any changes with the road work.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and
other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone
and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
