Lane closures scheduled for KY 169 in Jessamine County
Oak Street (downtown Nicholasville) and Keene Road (westbound)
Asphalt paving project between US 68 and US 27X
 
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 6, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are scheduled for  portions of KY 169 in Jessamine County.  The closures are necessary for asphalt paving to be completed.
 
Work schedule and location:
Thursday, August 7 through Friday, August 29
Monday to Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (times are approximate)
(no weekend work is scheduled unless weather circumstances deem it necessary)
 
The location for the project on KY 169 will be between:
 
  • mile point 10.458 to 14.448 (US 68 and US 27X/Main Street)
 
(one lane will remain open at all times during the work hours)
 
Note:  due to sewer work the paving will begin on the US 68 side and progress toward town
 
Alternate Routes are recommended to relieve delays and congestion:
 
  • motorists can utilize the following roads to travel from US 68 to US 27:
      KY 1980 (Brannon Road), KY 3375 (Catnip Hill Road) and KY 29
      (Wilmore Road)
 
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
