Lane and ramp closures scheduled for Interstate 64 in
Fayette, Scott and Woodford Counties
Asphalt pavement and roadway rehabilitation project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 2, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane and ramp closures are scheduled for Interstate 64 in Fayette, Scott and Woodford Counties.
Closures are necessary for the asphalt pavement and roadway rehabilitation project to begin. The anticipated completion date for the work is Tuesday, October 14.
Work schedule & locations:
Lane closures will begin at 6:00 a.m.
Work will include both east and westbound lanes.
- mile point 71.0 to mile point 74.3
- mile point 67.106 to mile point 71.0
- mile point 64.83 to mile point 67.106
At least one lane will remain open at all times during work hours.
Double fines will be in effect for motorists when workers are present in the work zone (speed limit reductions - 55 MPH for roadway lanes and 35 MPH for ramps).
The KY 341 ramp and US 62 ramp will close one at a time during the scheduled weekends for work.
All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
